Hello, my name is Derek Johnson. I was born in Oakland, California in May of 1981, and moved to Southern California at the age of 18. I joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in 29 Palms, California, which was not the most pleasant place to live.
After serving in Iraq in 2003, 1 moved to Okinawa, Japan for a short period before leaving the military in 2007. I have been settled in Temecula, where I still enjoy living today despite all this heat out here.

Fitness has always been an essential part of my life. I played basketball and swam in high school and became a martial arts instructor in the Marine Corps. I was born in 1987 in Argentina, in a small and beautiful city in the center of the province of Córdoba, where sport and the values of competition are essential in the development of people. My Italian/Argentinean family instilled in me the importance of an active life. I started practicing sports like soccer and rugby when I was about five years old.
Even before we knew how to walk, our parents put a ball under our feet, showing us the importance of sports. I have been playing sports since 1992. I played soccer and rugby at different levels and later as a professional athlete. I was offered professional contracts in Spain as well.
I am passionate about other sports, such as downhill mountain biking, which I have practiced for many years. I also played horse sports called pato. It is a combination of rugby and basketball played on horseback. During the summer, I preferred swimming in my hometown lake. Moreover, running was one of my specialties. Since most of the sports I practiced demanded running fast and long distances,  I specialized in endurance, agility, and power.
My career choice to become a personal trainer grew out of my desire to promote a healthy lifestyle. I rely on my personal experiences to teach my clients everything I know about an active lifestyle involving mental, physical, or motivational aspects. I use my training as an athlete and my studies in sports science as assets to guide my clients to achieve their personal goals. Roland Hazard – Self Motivated Personal Trainer

Personal Trainer in Temecula – Born in Boston Mass, moved to California in 1988 when I enlisted in the Marine Corps. Was stationed at Camp Pendleton Ca at Edson Range, WFTBN as an ammunition specialist.Went to Platt College after I was discharged and earned my BA degree in multimedia animation and 3D graphics. My passion soon became 3D character model development and motion capture.

As time went by, it was hard to find a job doing what I loved to do so I applied for a job a Palomar Hospital as a maintenance engineer where I worked for 15 years. People at the hospital always asked me if I were a personal trainer just because I always kept myself in shape, but I just nodded my head and said naw.

At the ripe old age of 50 I decided to compete in my first ever men’s physique competition where I placed 4th because I seen one of my friends do it close to my age.
Fast forward three years later, I won my Pro card in Pittsburgh at the age of 53.

Winning my Pro card was such an accomplishment to me especially at my age that I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with other athletes wanting to take themselves to the next level in fitness.

Now, I love to train people. I love to see their accomplishments wether it be losing weight, competing, getting stronger, looking good along with being healthy.
